‘New Beginnings’ boasts a selection of toe tapping tunes, most notably Barry’s first single ‘Keep It In The Middle Of The Road’. However, the young artist employs a diverse range of song choices which caters to an extensive audience; from the old Scottish folk song ‘Mary Mac’ to the more contemporary sounds of boyband One Direction’s ‘Night Changes’. Barry’s father Dominic, even duets with him on the track ‘It Takes All Kinds’.

Something which really adds to the album’s apt title ‘New Beginnings’ is how the record is brimming with new and original tracks, three of which Barry’s talented brother Colm penned including; ‘Husband & Wife’, ‘You’ve Got Me Thinking That Way’ and ‘Underneath the Oak Tree.’ The second single off the album is ‘Up The Jive’ a certified track to pack out the dancefloors and a song which Barry himself co wrote.
